Reebok and Chris Brown made an impact amongst the youngsters July 6th, when Chris attended the “WE US: Walk Everywhere in Unity’s Shoes” event at Crenshaw Senior High School in Los Angeles, California.
Chris handed out brand new Reebok kicks to kids in need, and by the look on his face he enjoyed every minute of it. Perhaps it was because of his childhood and knowing how it felt to have hand-me-downs from his cousin that made this event hit home and feel special.
“I used to have to borrow my cousin’s clothes,” Chris stated at the event. “So being able to come from that poverty-stricken environment and then being able to get out of it is what I tried to [do]. … I just want to show the kids and have them have a better light of opportunities for them to do what they need to do.”
Chris was very thankful for being allowed to take part in such an event and sent out a tweet shortly thereafter saying; “Thank you for allowing me to continue to inspire change in the world. Today was a great step forward!”
